Just to confirm that we have now passed the point at which we are expected to make an annoucement on the above.

In line with National Conference proposals from the Membership, and an expectation placed upon the Performance Portfolio, the following has been discussed and agreed as being the available places per Division for the BYBA 2008 National Championships.

Junior Division - Registered League Units = 6. Units to be invited = 4; Division 3 - Registered League Units = 13. Units to be invited = 10; Cadet Division - Registered League Units = 4. Units to be invited = 4;
Division 2 - Registered League Units = 8. Units to be invited = 6; Associate Division - Registered League Units = 3. Units to be invited = 3; Division 1 - Registered League Units = 3. Units to be invited = 3.

For your information, please also see the following:
Number of units competing in BYBA Contests = 44.
Number of units in the BYBA League = 37.
Number of units to be invited to National Championships = 30.

The above has been determined based on a similar method to recent years of ensuring that there are a minimum of 3 units in a Division, and allowing all Cadet Units to compete.

Should any Division be depleted during the first half of the season, then the Performance Portfolio reserve the right to make adjustments to the above.
