After a period of opebning the Discussion Forum sections to "Public" access - allowing people to post messages without having to register/log in - I am afraid that I have had to revert the Discussion Forum to "Protected" status - requiring anyone who wishes to post a message to register and log in. This action has been necessitated due to the number of rogue/inappropriate postings being delivered to the forums by spammers. This is the downside of providing open Public access. I do not hacvve the time available to constantly check/monitor all postings, consequently the only appropriate action is to remove the Public access.
Anyone can view the forums, but in order to post you must register and obtain an User ID and Password. I am aware that a few people feel it is too time consuming to register and then log in, but I am afraid that Public access is not viable. Note that when you log in you can set a "Remember Me" option such that you are automatically logged in when you next access the forums. The registration respomse e-mails are generated automatically and you should receive them very soon after completing the registration process - it does help of course that you use a valid e-mail address when registering!
I trust this does not cause people too many issues, but I am sure you will appreciate the need to prevent the intrusio of unwarranted spam postings.BYBA Webmaster - 13.06.2007
