BYBA member Bands hail from all sectors of the Youth world and number amongst them: Boys Brigade, Girls Brigade, Scouts, Guides, Church Lads & Church Girls Brigade, Nautical Training Corps, Sea Cadet Corps, Army Cadet Force, Venture Corps and many independent and "town" Bands. Bands playing all forms of wind and percussion instruments are encouraged to join, and the Association has included many varieties on its register - Bands with Bugles and Drums, Trumpets and Drums, Fife and Drums, fully chromatic Brass, Brass and Woodwind and many Bands with dance/twirl sections called Colour Guards. To assist in the aim of promoting the growth, prestige and calibre of marching bands, BYBA operates an Education section for the benefit of is Membership. A bursary fund exists to provide financial support to members who have a special need to follow a musical career or require assistance with a particular musical need. |
