The British Youth Band Association is delighted to announce that Mark Jeffrey has joined the BYBA Council team in the capacity of Chair of Development and Southern Region Rep.
Introducing himself Mark said “I have been involved in music and performing arts since 1981, and am still on the field marching with The Company Performance Ensemble.
I started my journey with a traditional marching band, The Suffolk Royals. and I have hooked ever since. Apart from a break when normal life took over for a while, I have been involved in some form of the activity ever since, including Carnival Band, Show Band, Traditional Band, Drum Corps and Winterguard.
I am looking forward to working with the team at BYBA in order to give children including my own the opportunities I had and to help secure the future of this activity we all love so much”.
BYBA Chairman Paul Cartwright added “I am pleased to welcome Mark to Council. He adds to our experience not just in running bands, but as a well-networked businessman with ideas to bring to the table.
Mark will also be a much needed focal point for bands in the south to connect with BYBA.
As we strengthen Council, it is now important that we focus on delivering what members and potential members need especially in areas of the country which feel neglected.”
If you would like to contact Mark he can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
