Wind and rain could not dampen the spirits at the British Youth Band Association National Championships held in Telford on 1st October 2016. Across three classes some of the best youth marching bands in the country competed to be crowned BYBA National Champions

In Championship Class league champions Nexus took top honors, followed by Stafford Brigades and Comets Performance Ensemble in third.

Cadet Class was the opportunity for the future of our activity to shine and shine they did with three fantastically entertaining performances. First place went to Thurrock Marching Brass, followed by Warwick Corps of Drums and Cadence Juniors.

In recent years Premier Class has been a closely fought affair and this year was to be no different with just 2.06 points covering the top three places.
